Lion Electric Vehicles

Truly Plug and Play Technology!

Upcoming shows

The Live Green Expo in Texas was a remarkably well organized event!  The show covered not only electric vehicles, but alternative vehicles and other means of reducing demands on oil supplies, and on polution.  Many pictures from the show have been submitted and are included below.

Electric vehicles were shown outside, adjacent to the Plano center.  The vehicles included bikes, Full EV's, factory Hybrids, and custom vehicles.  Of course LionEV was in the Full EV and PHEV category for this show.

Live Green featured products of every manner and direction.  Whether you were interested in traditional energy conservation or more advanced approaches, you would find it within the Plano Center.

The Smart Car for Two was present at the show.  I think this might make a nice NEV, but I don't really think it does much for cleaning up the environment as it is.  The fuel system is gas/diesel and not very efficient.

The Smart Car is well designed for exit strategies....especially when your passenger attended the "Mid-Western Chili Con Carne cook-off" earlier in the day.

Wind harvesting systems were present at the show as well.  And....interestingly enough.....not one migratory bird was injured by one of these systems during the show.  Actually, I don't believe there is a reported injury of a migratory bird for the year 2007, or 2008 to date.  Some activists believe that migratory birds are stupid enough to run in to a windmill.  I don't get it!  Almost any bird out there can avoid a peregrine falcon for at least a few fly by's....it is not going to run in to a slow moving wind generator blade.  I think some activist groups would like to see us go back to the days of heating our huts with wood chips and flint starters.

The Live Green Show was not without it's celebrity visitors.  An alert guest snapped a shot of
Spud "Face Plant" Kowalski
in his trademark Blue T-Shortie outfit.
Spud, an expert at Parkour, and an avid extreme skate boarder was obviously scoping out the concrete benches and the level terrain.  As always, Spud only films his YouTube exploits in areas where advanced levels of dentistry are available.

Hybrid vehicles were in abundance at the show.  One thing noted in the newest vehicles from Detroit and elsewhere... the requirement for higher octane fuels to achieve the greater MPG's on the sticker.  It doesn't do you much good to pay the higher price for fuel to achieve that couple of extra miles.  I think 40 MPG for regular grade gas is much more impressive than 42 MPG for supreme.

The word Eco seemed pretty common among the auto displays at this show, and others around the country.  I would like to know what is Eco Tec about this engine design?  A 30MPG hybrid?...Running on high test fuel?  Hmmm......I guess the little pink gizmo in this engine compartment signifies that this is the Barbie edition?

This is one of the NTEAA vehicles shown at the show.  This is a fully electric auto, using lead acid battery technology.  This is the front battery compartment, the image below shows the rear battery compartment.

Notice the two-tiered battery arrangement?  Back here at LionEV central....this car was voted best of show.  Absolutely the best use of available space for battery storage.  And one fine looking design/assembly.  This designer could work for us anytime!!!

Lithium Battery packs are just the neatest things !!!

LionEV of course had a couple of vehicles at this show.  A ford Ranger full EV, and an Escape PHEV.  Both vehicles shown front and center in this picture.

Our thanks to Michael Barkley (L) and Ram Mohan (R), of the NTEAA and LionEV Dealerships for a very successful show in Dallas.
